A macOS menu bar app that brings a Dynamic Island-style interface for interacting with OpenCode.

Note: This project is inspired by Claude Island by @farouqaldori. It is not affiliated with OpenCode or the OpenCode team.

💻 System Requirements

To run OpenCode Island, you will need:

• macOS: 10.15 (Catalina) or newer
• Processor: Intel or Apple Silicon
• RAM: 4 GB or more
• Network: An internet connection to access the OpenCode services

📥 Download & Install

To download and install OpenCode Island, follow these steps:

1. Visit the Releases page.
2. Locate the latest release. It will typically be at the top of the list.
3. Click on the download link for the .dmg file.
4. After downloading, locate the file in your Downloads folder and open it.
5. Drag the OpenCode Island app into your Applications folder.
6. Open your Applications folder and find OpenCode Island.
7. Double-click the app icon to launch OpenCode Island.

For easy access, you may want to pin the app to your Dock.

✨ Getting Started

Once you have installed OpenCode Island:

1. Launch OpenCode Island from your Applications folder.
2. When the app opens, you can quickly summon it with the Command key double-tap.
3. Explore the interface to see various bots available for use.
4. Start typing to interact with your selected AI model.

⚙️ Customization Options

OpenCode Island allows some customization to enhance your experience:

• Hotkey Configuration: You can change the hotkey used to summon the app by accessing the settings within the app.
• Model Preferences: Choose which AI models you prefer for quicker access.
• Interface Themes: Select between different themes for the overlay interface to suit your style.

1. How do I report a bug?

If you encounter issues while using OpenCode Island, please visit the “Issues” tab in this repository and create a new issue. Describe the problem and provide steps to reproduce it.

2. Is my data safe with OpenCode Island?

Yes, OpenCode Island does not store any personal data. Your interactions with the AI models are not tracked or saved.

3. Can I customize the AI models?

Currently, you can choose from available AI models, but customization for individual models is not supported at this time.

• App won’t launch: Make sure you have the correct macOS version and your system meets the requirements.
• Hotkey not working: Verify if another application is using the same keyboard shortcut. You can change it within the app settings.
